A low cross caused havoc in the Honduran box with an attempted clearance struck the advancing Jean Beausejour on its route out of danger.

The ball then looped past Hoduras 'keeper Valladares for the match's lone goal.

Honduras will now need to get points out of both Switzerland and European Champions Spain if it is to progress, a position Chile look favorites to acheive.
