The process of getting your music played on Sunlight Radio is simple. To get the most from Sunlight station-wide promotion for Afro Caribbean and Portuguese music follow this guide. |

Sunlight Radio operates a general play list policy which is broadcast over the entire station. This general play list is supplemented by Four smaller additional 'specialist' Play lists for the following shows:
- THE LORD SEGA SHOW - (Friday Night)
- AFROPOLITAN MIX - (Monday - Thursday Mid- Morning Affair)
- WORLD GROOVE SHOW – ( Saturday Afternoon)
- JAZZ MATTEZ (Monday - Thursday Evening)

All music on Sunlight Radio is selected, managed, maintained by the programmes department which also makes recommendations to our events team on artists bookings for events and road shows through out the year. Click to ON STAGE view current and upcoming events.
The programmes department meets for music testing and discuss music additions. Once selected, your song will be promoted on air and online on www.sunlightradio.com. To be considered all you need is to send in the following:
- Compact disc with your song. Let us know which songs you would especially like to have considered.
- Promotional Image. Primarily of the artist but this could be the front cover of the album for use online (resolution: 300dpi, JPEG, GIF, or TIF)
- Additional copies of your compact disc, single or album, for prize giveaways.
- A press release / biography preferably in electronic format which should contain the following, title, music genre for each song.
- Release dates, details of supporting promotion for each song sent e.g. music video, ring tone, downloadable, press campaign, street promotion.
- Copyright information for all the songs sent including artist, composer, arranger, publisher, record label, cd number.
- Full contact details of the artist, record label or manager including email address, websites for our play list and charts updates.
- Details of any merchandise offered to Sunlight Radio for prize give- aways - could be signed posters etc as well as larger prizes.
- For on air promotion or online interview with or without performance contact the Programmes Director.
- Additional information for promotion. - The artist e.g. up and coming performances, past credits. - The song (remix, collaborations etc).
- Dry vocal recording on compact disc of a Sunlight Radio endorsement. That is, your message, then 'you are on Sunlight Radio your rhythm to life’, or 'you are listening to Sunlight Radio’. Note, contents should be decent for our discerning audience.

If you are a new artist/ label, competition for airplay can be fierce, but like most
things, if what you have is something special, then it will shine through. All correspondence
should go through the Programmes Director, finally Sunlight Radio reserves the right to select
appropriate music for its play list.
