Dutch Eredivisie side, Feyenoord has announced the signing of German-born attacker of Ghanaian descent Christian Conteh.

The club has signed the player from German lower division side FC St. Pauli following successful negotiations in the last couple of weeks.

Having completed the capture of Christian Conteh, Technical Director for Feyenoord Frank Arnesen has stressed the readiness of the team to help the 20-year-old to develop.

“We have been watching Conteh for a while. He is lightning fast, has good action, and is someone who can provide a good dose of danger behind the lines.

“This boy has a lot of potential, so we want to give him the time, space, and attention to further develop it”, he told the official website of the Dutch giants.

In the 2019/2020 football season, Christian Conteh made 7 appearances for St. Pauli in the German 2. Bundesliga where he scored 2 times and provided 1 assist.

Having completed his switch to Feynoord, he has returned to Hamburg and will later link up with his new teammates at the club when pre-season begins.
